How to Install IPTV on Windows 10 and 11 (2026 Guide)

This guide shows how to watch WorldIPTV on Windows 10 and 11, on a desktop, laptop or tablet, with IPTV Smarters Pro for Windows (full VOD and EPG), VLC, MyIPTV Player from the Microsoft Store, or Kodi with the PVR IPTV Simple Client. Allow 5 to 15 minutes depending on the app. You need your WorldIPTV credentials: the Xtream server URL, username and password, or the M3U link, from your welcome email or the 24-hour free trial.

Before you start

• Bandwidth: 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K. Test on the PC itself.
• Connection: Ethernet to the router, or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Laptops on 2.4 GHz buffer at peak hours.
• Credentials: Xtream Codes for IPTV Smarters Pro; the M3U link plus the XMLTV EPG URL for VLC, MyIPTV Player and Kodi. Both are listed on your playlists page.
• Windows updated: run Settings > Windows Update and update your graphics driver for hardware decoding.

Method 1: IPTV Smarters Pro

IPTV Smarters Pro for Windows is a free desktop app with the same interface as the mobile and TV versions: live TV, movies, series, catch-up and EPG, with Xtream Codes login.

1. Download the Windows installer (.exe) using the link in your welcome email.
2. Double-click the file. If Windows SmartScreen appears, click More info > Run anyway, then follow the installer (Next > Install > Finish).
3. Launch IPTV Smarters Pro and accept the terms.
4. Click Add User, then Login with Xtream Codes API.
5. Fill in Any name (e.g. WorldIPTV), Username, Password and http://server-url (the exact URL with port from your email).
6. Click Add User. The app loads Live TV, Movies and Series.
7. In Settings > Player Settings, choose the built-in player and enable Hardware decoding.

Method 2: VLC Media Player

VLC is free, already on many PCs, and plays the WorldIPTV M3U playlist with no account setup. It has no VOD library or catch-up, but it is ideal for a quick check.

1. Install VLC from videolan.org if you do not have it (choose the 64-bit version).
2. Open VLC and click Media > Open Network Stream (Ctrl+N).
3. Paste your M3U URL in the network URL field and click Play.
4. Press Ctrl+L (or View > Playlist) to show the channel list. Double-click a channel to play it; use the search box in the top right to find channels quickly.
5. To keep the list for next time, click Media > Save Playlist to File and save it as .m3u on your PC, or bookmark the URL in Media > Open Recent Media.

Add the XMLTV EPG in VLC

1. Click Tools > Preferences, then set Show settings to All in the bottom-left corner.
2. Expand Playlist, then click Services discovery.
3. Tick the XMLTV option if listed (availability depends on the VLC build) and, in the URL field, paste the XMLTV EPG URL from your playlists page. Click Save and restart VLC.
4. Open Tools > Program Guide to see the current and next programmes for the playing channel.

Method 3: MyIPTV Player

MyIPTV Player is a free Microsoft Store app with a proper channel guide, favourites and EPG support. It uses M3U playlists.

1. Open the Microsoft Store, search MyIPTV Player and click Get.
2. Open the app and click Settings (gear icon).
3. Under Add new playlist and EPG source, enter a Playlist name (WorldIPTV), then paste your M3U link in the Remote channel list field and click Add remote list.
4. Below, paste the XMLTV EPG URL in the Remote EPG source field and click Add remote EPG.
5. At the top of the Settings page, select WorldIPTV in the Select playlist and Select EPG source drop-downs and click Refresh.
6. Return to the main screen; channels appear with the guide below each name.

Method 4: Kodi (PVR IPTV Simple Client)

Kodi turns your PC into a media centre with a full TV grid and timers. The PVR IPTV Simple Client add-on reads the M3U and XMLTV EPG.

1. Download Kodi from kodi.tv (the Windows installer or the Microsoft Store version) and install it.
2. Open Kodi and go to Add-ons > Install from repository > PVR clients > PVR IPTV Simple Client > Install.
3. Once installed, click Configure (or Settings > Add-ons > My add-ons > PVR clients > PVR IPTV Simple Client > Configure).
4. In the General tab, set Location to Remote path (Internet address) and paste your M3U link in M3U playlist URL.
5. In the EPG tab, set Location to Remote path and paste the XMLTV EPG URL in XMLTV URL. Click OK.
6. Enable the add-on if prompted, then go to Settings > PVR & Live TV > General and click Clear data if channels do not appear immediately.
7. Return to the home screen and open TV > Channels. Press E on the keyboard for the EPG grid.

Add the EPG (TV guide)

In IPTV Smarters Pro for Windows, the EPG comes with the Xtream Codes login. Click Settings > EPG Settings, make sure EPG is enabled, then click Install EPG (or Refresh EPG on the home screen). If programme times are off, adjust Time shift in the same menu. For VLC, MyIPTV Player and Kodi, the XMLTV URL pasted above provides the guide; refresh it once a day.

Tips for the best quality

• Enable hardware decoding: in VLC, Tools > Preferences > Input / Codecs > Hardware-accelerated decoding > Automatic (or DXVA 2.0 / D3D11); in Kodi, Settings > Player > Videos > Allow hardware acceleration - DXVA2.
• Increase the network cache in VLC (Input / Codecs > Network caching) to 3000 ms if you see stutter.
• Use Ethernet on a desktop, and keep laptops on 5 GHz Wi-Fi close to the router.
• 4K streams need a recent CPU or GPU with HEVC support; on older laptops choose FHD.
• Close cloud sync and download clients while watching sports; they steal bandwidth in bursts.
