This guide walks you through installing WorldIPTV on an Amazon Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K / 4K Max, Fire TV Cube or a Fire TV Smart TV. By the end you will have live channels, VOD and a full TV guide. Allow 10 to 15 minutes. You need your WorldIPTV credentials: the Xtream server URL, username and password (or the M3U link) from your welcome email, or from the 24-hour free trial, which is activated instantly with no card required.

Before you start

  • Bandwidth: at least 10 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K. Run a speed test on the Fire TV itself, not on your phone.
  • Connection: the 5 GHz band of your router, or an Ethernet adapter. 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is the number one cause of buffering.
  • Credentials: Xtream server URL, username and password, or the M3U link. Both formats are explained on the playlists page.
  • Software: go to Settings > My Fire TV > About > Check for Updates, install any pending Fire OS update and restart the stick.

Enable Apps from Unknown Sources

The best IPTV players are not in the Amazon Appstore, so allow sideloading first.

  1. From the home screen, open Settings (the gear icon in the menu bar).
  2. Select My Fire TV, then Developer Options. If it is hidden, go to About, highlight the Fire TV Stick name and press the select button 7 times to unlock it.
  3. Select Install unknown apps (older Fire OS versions show Apps from Unknown Sources; turn it ON). You will come back here after installing Downloader.

Install Downloader

  1. Go back to the home screen and select the Find (magnifying glass) icon, then Search.
  2. Type Downloader and select the orange Downloader app by AFTVnews.
  3. Select Get or Download, wait for the install, then Open and accept the storage permission.
  4. Return to Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options > Install unknown apps and switch Downloader to ON.

Preferred method: 7 MOTION TV

On Firestick we prefer 7 MOTION TV. Ask support on WhatsApp, or use the install link in your welcome email, for the current app โ€” we do not publish a public APK or M3U. After it is installed, log in with the Xtream Codes details from your email. The players below remain fully supported if you already use them.

Method 1: IPTV Smarters Pro

IPTV Smarters Pro is free, supports Xtream Codes and M3U, and remains a supported alternative if you are not using 7 MOTION TV.

  1. Open Downloader. In the Home tab, select the URL field, enter the download URL provided in your welcome email and press Go.
  2. Downloader fetches the APK and opens the installer. Select Install, then Done (not Open).
  3. When asked whether to delete the installation file, select Delete twice to save space.
  4. Open IPTV Smarters Pro from Your Apps & Channels and accept the terms of use.
  5. Select Add User, then Login with Xtream Codes API.
  6. Fill in the fields: Any name (e.g. WorldIPTV), Username, Password, and http://server-url with the exact server URL from your email, including the port if one is shown.
  7. Select Add User. The app downloads the channel list and shows Live TV, Movies, Series and EPG tiles.

For M3U, choose Load Your Playlist or File/URL instead, enter Any name, select URL, paste the link and select Add User.

Method 2: TiviMate

TiviMate is the most polished player on Fire TV: a channel grid with programme previews, catch-up, recording and multi-view. The premium unlock is paid and worth it on a living-room TV.

  1. Open Downloader, enter the TiviMate download URL from your welcome email and press Go.
  2. Select Install, then Done, then Delete to remove the APK.
  3. Open TiviMate. On the welcome screen select Add playlist.
  4. Choose Xtream Codes login.
  5. Enter Server address (your Xtream URL with port), Username and Password, then select Next.
  6. Name the playlist (e.g. WorldIPTV) and confirm. TiviMate loads channels and downloads the EPG automatically.
  7. Press Back to reach the channel list. Long-press a channel to add it to Favourites.

Method 3: XCIPTV

XCIPTV is free and uses ExoPlayer, which handles 4K and HEVC streams well on the Fire TV Stick 4K.

  1. In Downloader, enter the XCIPTV download URL from your welcome email and press Go.
  2. Select Install, then Done, then Delete.
  3. Open XCIPTV. On the first screen choose Xtream Codes API (or M3U Playlist).
  4. Enter Username, Password and Server URL (with port) and select Log In.
  5. Open Settings > Player and set the decoder to ExoPlayer (Hardware).

Method 4: IBO Player

IBO Player is in the Amazon Appstore, so no sideloading is needed. It works with M3U playlists and is activated per device (free trial period, then a one-time fee paid to the developer).

  1. On the home screen select Find > Search, type IBO Player and install it from the Appstore.
  2. Open the app. The screen shows a MAC address and a Device key. Note both.
  3. On another device, open the activation page linked in the app, enter the MAC address and device key, and paste your WorldIPTV M3U link (plus the EPG URL if there is a field for it).
  4. Back on the Fire TV, select Reload; your playlist appears within seconds.

Add the EPG (TV guide)

WorldIPTV provides the EPG automatically with Xtream Codes logins. In IPTV Smarters Pro:

  1. Open Settings (gear icon on the home screen) and select EPG Settings; make sure EPG is enabled.
  2. Go back and select Install EPG (or Refresh EPG on the home screen). The first download takes 1-2 minutes.
  3. If guide times are off, adjust Time shift under EPG Settings by the number of hours of difference.

In TiviMate, go to Settings > EPG to check the source and use Update EPG to refresh. With an M3U playlist, paste the XMLTV EPG URL from your playlists page into the EPG URL field of your app.

Tips for the best quality

  • Use hardware decoding in every app (Smarters: Settings > Player Settings > Decoder; TiviMate: Settings > Player > Decoder).
  • Increase the buffer size to medium or large if your connection fluctuates (TiviMate: Settings > Player > Buffer size).
  • Select 4K streams only on the Fire TV Stick 4K / 4K Max or Fire TV Cube; the basic stick and Lite stutter on 4K.
  • Use an Ethernet adapter on any Fire TV device; it removes Wi-Fi interference entirely.
  • Keep the stick well ventilated; an overheated Firestick throttles the CPU and drops frames. See our article on fixing buffering on Firestick.
